Bright Spring color palette: the colors that work, and why
Bright Spring is defined by clarity before anything else, with warmth just behind it. The palette is saturated and lively: poppy, marigold, bright jade, hot pink. Muted and earthy colors are what dull this colouring.

Clear, warm, high contrastClear and saturated with warmth behind it: vivid colors hold up against your contrast
Find your tone: Color season analysis →What makes you a Bright Spring
Bright Spring carries real contrast between features: bright eyes against clear skin, often with hair noticeably darker or lighter than both. Clarity is the dominant axis, which means saturation, not depth. These are colors with nothing greyed in them.
Warmth is present but secondary. That is why the palette can hold a cool-leaning violet or a clear blue, as long as the colour stays vivid. What it cannot hold is anything softened, because softness is the one quality this colouring has none of.
The Bright Spring palette, and why these colors work
Poppy, marigold and tangerine carry the warmth, while bright jade, clear blue and violet keep the palette from being only a warm one. Hot pink is the crossover colour that tells you clarity is leading: it is not a warm colour, but it is a vivid one, and it works.
Bright ivory replaces white and deep teal navy replaces black. Both hold their own beside saturated colour, which beige and charcoal cannot do.

Metals: Bright gold with a clear shine. Pewter and antiqued metals dull you.
Most confused with: True Spring if warmth leads, Bright Winter if your colouring is cool.
What to avoid, and what goes wrong
Muted colors are the clear failure: sage, dusty rose, mushroom, slate and most of the palettes that suit Soft seasons. Against this colouring they look like a screen with the saturation turned down, and the face loses the sparkle that makes it work.
Heavy earth tones such as rust, olive and chocolate are the second failure. They have the warmth right and the clarity wrong, so they read as heavy rather than rich. Dusty pastels do the same at the light end.
Telling Bright Spring apart from its neighbours
Bright Winter is the mirror image and the common confusion. Both live at high saturation and high contrast. The difference is hue: Bright Winter is cool, so fuchsia, cobalt and true red work while marigold turns it sallow. Bright Spring takes the warm versions of the same brightness.
True Spring is the other neighbour. It shares the warmth with less contrast, so if the brightest colors feel a little strong and warm mid-tones feel comfortable, True Spring is the better fit.

FAQ
Common questions
What is the difference between Bright Spring and Bright Winter?+
Hue, not brightness. Both need saturated colour. Bright Spring is warm-leaning, so marigold and coral work. Bright Winter is cool, so fuchsia and cobalt work while warm yellows turn the skin sallow.
Can Bright Springs wear pastels?+
Only clear ones. A pastel with grey in it flattens this colouring, while a clear light aqua or a clean warm pink keeps the sparkle. The test is whether the colour still looks fresh rather than dusty.
What neutrals work for Bright Spring?+
Bright ivory, light tan, coffee brown and deep teal navy. Stone grey and beige are the neutrals to skip, because they mute everything around them.
Is black bad for Bright Spring?+
It is not the disaster it is for light seasons, but it is rarely the best choice: it flattens the warmth and adds weight. Deep teal navy or dark coffee give the same anchor with the colouring intact.
