SkinPal AI turns your daily selfie into a detailed skin health report. Our computer vision AI analyzes six key metrics every time you scan: acne severity, texture smoothness, hydration levels, skin tone evenness, oiliness balance, and dark spot detection. Each analysis takes under 5 seconds and produces a zone-by-zone breakdown of your T-zone, cheeks, chin, and forehead.

Unlike one-time skin assessment tools, SkinPal is built for daily tracking. The app stores your scan history and shows how your skin changes over days, weeks, and months. Before/after photo comparisons and trend charts make it easy to see whether your skincare routine is actually working — replacing guesswork with data.

Based on your scan data, SkinPal generates personalized AI-powered skincare routines that adapt as your skin improves. Morning and evening routines are tailored to your specific skin type, concerns, and goals.

SkinPal uses computer vision — a branch of artificial intelligence that enables machines to interpret visual information from images. When you take a selfie, the AI model identifies facial landmarks, segments your face into analysis zones, and evaluates each zone against trained patterns for skin health indicators.

The AI is trained on a diverse dataset representing all skin types (oily, dry, combination, sensitive, normal) and the full range of skin tones across the Fitzpatrick scale. This means accurate analysis regardless of your skin color or ethnicity. The algorithm adapts to different melanin levels and accounts for skin concerns that are more prevalent in certain skin types.

With each scan, the AI compares current results against your historical data to detect trends and changes. This temporal analysis is what makes daily tracking valuable — it reveals patterns that a single scan cannot show.

SkinPal AI is built by Pypple Technology LLC, a Wyoming-registered technology company. The app was founded by Indra Poudel, a full-stack engineer with over 5 years of experience building mobile and web applications across React Native, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python.

Prior to SkinPal, Indra worked on AI/ML applications including RAG systems and IoT platforms at companies across the US and Europe. SkinPal combines this technical background with a focus on making skin health tracking accessible through simple, daily AI analysis.

Most people don't know whether their skincare routine is actually working. They spend money on products based on marketing claims and hope for the best. SkinPal exists to replace that guesswork with data.
